Sharon S asked:
This property is a lease with an option to buy. The realtor is telling me to sign a lease and a purchase agreement that states all the agreements that me and the owner agree to if I decide to buy. The addendum states that I am not obligated to buy and it also says that 30% of rent will go towards buying the condo if I decide to purchase. So, should I sign this purchase agreement? Carrie asked:
I leased a loft in September of 2006 because I just broke up with my fiance and I needed a place to live. I was going to buy a place but my trusty mortgage broker was no help. I had the money for this place at the time but my situation has changed and I can barely pay the rent every month. I got approved for a loan and the payment is 1/2 of what I am paying in rent every month. My question is: How can I get out of this lease without having to pay the remainder of the rent until October? I heard from someone that there is a law in MO that a lessor has to let you out of a lease if you buy a home….I don’t know if this is true or not. Does anyone know? Dano asked:
A tenant in the apartment building I live in has been causing a lot of grief amongst myself and the other tenants. The person in question constantly has loud arguements with her son (who’s not on her lease, but now living with her) which take place at various times, but lately have been occurring 1 or 2 AM in the morning. While multiple tenants have tried to talk to her about this, they’ve become dismayed at dealing with her because she basically starts yelling at them. The police have been called multilple times regarding her disturbances (by other tenants AND by people living next to the building as well). The general feeling is that people would prefer if she were evicted, but really don’t want to deal with the flack that comes with it. I’ve talked to the landlord about this and he keeps saying to call the police, but it’s not doing much and the police are frustrated with her as well. What’s the best route to go? SUPERCARTEST asked:
